Tea Hacic: Do you think nightlife is for everyone? Do you think people can learn to be a part of it?
Victor P. Corona: I think my example shows that everyone can find some way. I’m 35 years old, I’m not a male model, I shouldn’t be walking around in a jock strap. But I can still put on a decent look and dance and have a good time. So I think it’s about finding your own way in. You don’t have to show up dressed like Walt Paper or dressed like Ladyfag. But you can make the effort to show that you belong. I don’t think anyone should feel like they can’t. And that’s the magical thing about New York! I think if it was truly that exclusive, it wouldn’t endure as a sort of mecca for freaks and artists.
